Couples therapy

If you are in any way concerned about your relationship, then seeing a relationship therapist can help clarify thoughts and feelings.

A short-term series of 6 -10 sessions is often enough to help a couple to find a way forwards. Problems such as getting over an affair; managing the changes that come with new babies and children; sexual difficulties or incompatibilities; arguing; children leaving home and a work-life balance that is out of order are common difficulties that I have experience in helping with

 

Giving both you and your partner the space to talk, relationship therapy can open up avenues to a better understanding of each other.  In couples therapy we will explore events, emotions, thoughts and behaviours, which will open up doors to possible changes and give you both the opportunity to work out how this change can happen.

 

Couples and individuals have the chance to discover aspects of them and their partner that has gone unnoticed, or are getting in the way of a happier life.  Resolving issues that may have been around for some time and creating a different understanding of emotions, can lead to a more stable and equal relationship.
